I. Executive Summary This study investigates the contemporary business practices in China in the context of leadership and motivation. Leadership and motivation conforms to an interwoven concept. The effective leaders are also enablers that directly points to performance and satisfaction; hence, the motivational skills of leaders are very important. Effective leadership per se takes on influencing followership. The idea of leadership and motivation in Chinese business are guided by their culture, tradition and religion.
