Sample Research Proposal on The impact of Spam on personal productivity

Spam is often used to describe any sort of unwanted post on a newsgroup or any unwanted email message. Spam is objected to on the basis of slowing down networks and filling up valuable hard disk space. It may also cost the recipient money to receive spam (Bell et al., 2004).

Presenting problem definition

The project will conduct a study about how spam affects productivity. It intends to find out more about the disadvantages of spam and how it affects the performance and productivity of computer and email users.

Real World Target

Through the study better understanding of Spam can be made and people can be informed about what it can do. The study can look deeper on how spam affects a person's productivity. The study will then provide how to contradict these effects and what to do when someone using email receives emails unfamiliar to them.

Research Question

The problem statement that was given in a previous section shows the goal of the study; however, there is still one specific research question and this is how deep does spam affect productivity of those people using their computers and email. This question will act as a guide for the researcher in conducting the study.

Personal Theory

A probable intention for spam is to hack or take control of someone's computer. A probable effect of spam to productivity is it causes time to segregate then erase messages sent in the email. Sometimes spam can contain virus and other things harmful to the computer thus productivity is lessened because the computer has to be fixed.

Intended project outcome

An intended project outcome is determining means to prevent spam from lessening productivity. Another project outcome is the study will then provide how to contradict the effects of spamming and what to do when someone using email receives emails unfamiliar to them.

Strategic IT value

Through the study IT companies can arrive at ways to increase more the productivity among its personnel. The study can help IT related business to create strategies in improving themselves and their industry. The study can help IT companies in creating means to counter spam and its effects to personnel and other people using emails and IT technology.

Design for collecting primary data

The study shall use survey using questionnaires and interviews to gather pertinent data.  The primary data frequently gives the detailed definitions of terms and statistical units used in the survey. The data will come from different people knowledgeable about computers and emails, have knowledge about spams, and are deeply in need of IT and Email.

Design for processing primary data

Data gathered will be analyzed through frequency distributions. These will give way to reviewing the data categories and the number of referrals in each category.

Microfinance Enterprise in the third world economy Research Proposal

Microfinance has grown from a small program in the 1970s in Bangladesh to a worldwide movement today. Microfinance is basically the small loans that are granted to the third world poor. These new mechanisms are often referred to as nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) whose focus is on empowering poor families.             The movement to expand financial services for the poor as a grassroots development strategy is a relatively recent phenomenon. Microfinance, which emphasizes granting small loans to the poorest of the poor without requiring collateral, rests upon the notion that the most impoverished people in developing countries typically do not otherwise have access to traditional financial; services, but that they do possess modest survival skills that make them credit-worthy....
